TUSCANY THIS SPRING
A SPECIAL EVENT
In rural Tuscany, in the foothills of Monte Amiata, the Zancona river courses through wild, rocky forest and past a small permaculture farm: This is the perfect place to rest. Shelter a few days in The Clearing and experience new beginning this spring
Be with the heart of Spring in Tuscany, with wildflowers all around, birds and busy bees and a landscape that welcomes and supports all. In the clearing, next to the river, is a spot where you can stay for a while. Camp on its fringes or find a place hidden in the undergrowth or down by the river.
This is an opportunity to sow some of your own seeds, giving yourself space to delve and see what comes up, as often, our purpose is just under the surface, awaiting a little attention. Tend to your own potential, see what you’ve got and how you can best care for it.
Wild Flower Walks
NATURE, CREATIVITY & COMMUNITY
On our base in the Tuscan countryside – far from the well trodden tourist path – we immerse ourselves in wild nature for the duration of this experience. Spending time on the land, both together and alone, we share practices and offer the opportunity to seek inspiration from your surroundings. Hiking and wild swimming included!
Allow yourself the time and space to tap into your natural resourcefulness, remind yourself of your innate creativity, and remember how good it is to find & feel flow. Whatever your background, take this chance to take a step back from the busy-ness of life, to honour that which no longer serves and allow inspiration to bring yourself alive.
All the best things happen when people get together. Throughout the week we’ll cook, eat and share experiences together, exploring the power of community in inspiring and supporting each other.
TIME WITH INTENT
AN OPPORTUNITY TO REFLECT
Our intention is to provide & hold a simple space to nurture quality time. We’ve pooled our local knowledge along with our hosting experience to offer you a special week. This is your time, time-out, time for yourself.
We invite you to join us with your own intention. This may become clearer to you closer to the time or it might be present right now as you read these words. By dedicating this time to yourself, we will be there with a process to support you on your own journey.
These precious few days will be about delving a bit deeper into the present moment in order to help you create a new future for the benefit of yourself and the others you work/live with.
Facilities are simple, low-tech and comfortable and offer the chance of a digital detox.
MEET THE TEAM
Alan and Jez share a passion for nature, creativity and self-discovery. They met whilst training as Wilderness Guides with the Way of Nature UK. For them, this process is a new collaboration, but one which they are sure will lead both you and them to a place of new perspective.
Alan worked for many years in the vibrant sustainable food sector in Manchester and loved it, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience and working with some great people. But he knew he wanted more. In 2016, Alan made a decision to change his life. Through making that journey (involving a 600km hike and 100km sea kayak) he began to view life differently and in a more empowered way. It was about taking control – and also – letting go control. He began training with Way of Nature UK which took him on a journey inwards, connecting him to nature through 24 and 72 hour solo vision quests in wild surroundings, as well as other deepening practices. Through this work he became more connected to his ‘calling’: sharing what he’s learned by listening more deeply to himself and what calls him. Through writing and shadow integration work, Alan is always evolving his passion for communication, self-exploration and holding space for others.
JEZ LE FÈVRE
Jez is an explorer, of both the outside and in. He combines work as an executive coach & team development specialist with wilderness expeditions as a mountain leader & wilderness guide. He offers those he works with the opportunity to explore beyond boundaries, to reconnect with nature; both within and without and to see things with different perspectives. His background as an anthropologist and expedition leader has led him to many remote places in the World and allowed him to develop a cultural sensitivity which he brings to his work. He’s positive, enthusiastic, and full of energy, making him a popular and engaging facilitator. Jez has a deep reverence for the natural world and is curious as to how it can help us shape our responses to the challenges we all currently face.
